Lost Odyssey, the Xbox 360 RPG from Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi and Mistwalker, is available as a free download until December 31 in celebration of the Xbox One Backward Compatibility. Lost Odyssey transmitted the same feeling experienced with the games of Final Fantasy series, but it has been published by Microsoft Game Studios, so i always wondered to know why it didn't appear on the PC.
[Update] We were hoping to get Lost Odyssey free with this download promotion, but unfortunately Major Nelson (Larry Hyrb, director of programming for Xbox Live) has updated us via Reddit stating “there are no plans right now” to give players the game for free. The links to the shirts have also just been taken down.
It’s been one year since the Xbox One Backward Compatibility program commenced, and Microsoft is now allowing you to get Lost Odyssey free for Xbox One by downloading the free anniversary shirt for your Xbox avatar. This offer is available until November 30, 2016. To get Lost Odyssey free, the game will show up in your “Ready to Install” queue on your Xbox One within 48 hours.
